A Studio Born from Cusriosity
Studio Open Draft began with a simple belief: design is never static. It evolves — through material, through context, through conversation.
We develop furniture, products, and spatial objects for brands, while collaborating with architects and interior designers on custom pieces within larger projects. Across scales, our focus remains the same — clarity of form, intention in detail, and respect for material.
"We don't make furniture to fill rooms. We make it to start conversations - between the piece and the person, between tradition and experiment.
We are less interested in decoration than in structure — in how an object holds space, how proportion shapes experience, and how materials age with integrity. Every project begins with questions rather than conclusions.
With formal design training and hands-on industry experience, we move ideas thoughtfully from concept to build. Process matters as much as outcome. Execution matters as much as expression.
The studio remains open — to collaboration, to iteration, and to the understanding that meaningful work is rarely ever “finished.”

Meet the Founders
Snehal Garg
"Furniture is not just function - it's art, memory, and meaning, shaped to live in context
A multidisciplinary designer, she is drawn to the quiet relationship between object and space. Trained in Furniture & Interior Design at NID Ahmedabad, her practice is shaped by an ongoing curiosity about material, proportion, and the subtle ways design influences how we feel within a space. She is less interested in decoration, and more in how things sit, age, and belong.
Through Studio Open Draft, she explores furniture and product design as part of a larger spatial conversation — creating pieces that are thoughtful, grounded, and built with intention.
Sakshi Patel
"Each piece I design is rooted in research, shaped through craftsmanship, and built to create lasting, meaningful connections with the user.
With a Master’s in Design from MIT Institute of Design, Pune, and over four years of experience across interiors and furniture, she approaches design as a process of understanding before intervention.
Her work begins with context — asking the right questions about people, use, and environment — allowing form and function to emerge with clarity. She is attentive to material logic and the emotional weight a space can carry.
At Studio Open Draft, she anchors each project in research and refinement, ensuring that ideas are not only expressive, but enduring.
